Sanilac County Fatal Motorcycle Accident

I read a tragic story in the news today about a Sanilac County Fatal Motorcycle Accident that happened on Saturday. According to the Michigan State Police, the female biker was travelling on M-25 near Washington Road with several other bikers when she allegedly lost control while turning into a parking lot and side-swiped her husband. She was thrown from the bike on to the road an sustained severe head injuries. She was airlifted to St. Mary’s hospital in Saginaw where she died from her injuries. Police are still investigating this accident.

I  am very sorry to hear that this tragic motorcycle accident happened. My condolences go out to the family and friends of the female biker.

Our Michigan motorcycle accident lawyers  advise bikers of their legal rights.  Because this motorcycle accident involved contact with another motor vehicle, the biker would have been eligible for Michigan No-Fault Insurance benefits.  These benefits provide for payment of medical expenses, lost wages, attendant care services, and other benefits.  Family members may also may be able to make a claim for Survivor Loss Benefits.  This can include payment of funeral expenses, lost wages, and loss of other services.

According to police, two bikers were seriously injured on M-59 when their bike was allegedly struck from behind by a drunk driver that failed to stop for a traffic signal. Both bikers were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police continue to investigate this accident and are currently looking for anyone who witnessed what happened.
