Portage Motorcycle Accident Fatally Injures Climax Superintendent
A Portage Motorcycle Accident fatally injured Climax-Scotts Community Schools Superintendent Geoffrey Balkam and left Portage High School Counselor Jennifer Larsen-Russell in critical condition with serious injuries. According to police, Balkam and Russell, the passenger, were travelling on Red Arrow Highway in Coloma Townhip when he allegedly lost control of his bike and was struck by a car. Both were rushed to Borgess Medical Center where Balkam subsequently died.
I am very sorry to hear that this accident happened. My condolences go out to the family and friends of Geoffrey Balkam for their loss. I hope that Ms. Russell will have a complete and full recovery.
