Fatal Michigan Motorcycle Accident Settlement

A Michigan motorcycle accident lawsuit recently settled for $1.35 million against a negligent driver who caused the death of the 20 year motorcyclist.  The 80 year old driver failed to stop at a stop sign and entered into the intersection, directly in front of the motorcyclist, causing a serious collision that resulted in both of their deaths.  The insurance company for the driver tried to argue that the biker was travelling at a speed in excess of the posted speed limit, but the State Police accident reconstruction refuted that argument.

Many times, motorcycle accident case results hinge on traffic accident reconstruction experts because the parties have opposite opinions as to how the accident occurred.  Our firm routinely hires our own experts with significant experience in motorcycle accident reconstruction.  It is essential that an experienced Michigan motorcycle accident lawyer be contacted as soon as possible after the accident so that an investigation can be started before witnesses disappear, vehicles get repaired, and other valuable evidence becomes unavailable.
