Detroit Fatal Motorcycle Accident
A 40 year old biker suffered fatal injuries in a Detroit motorcycle accident last night. Police report that Rochelle Ringo was travelling on Gratiot when a van turned into her path and caused the accident. The driver left the scene of this hit and run accident. Detroit police are following up leads to find the driver.
It am always amazed at the indifference of a person who could be involved in such an accident and leave the scene without knowing if the accident victim will survive. I certainly hope that the driver is caught and brought to justice. My thoughts go out to this woman’s family.
The surviving family may have a number of legal rights to pursue, even though the negligent driver has not yet been identified. This could include claims for funeral expenses, lost income, and the loss of this woman’s companionship.
